MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 13, 1987 ~ <br />PAGE 5 ~ ~ <br />RESOLUTION R-87-18 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR THE 1987 ARONA <br />AVENUE WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT (HOYT AVENUE TO LARPENTEUR <br />AVENUE ) <br />ITEM RELATING TO TEMPORARY SIGN PERMITS DEFERRED TO 5/27/87 <br />Ciernia requested this item be deferred to the May 27th meeting and <br />Council concurred. <br />HAMLINE ALLEY DISCUSSION <br />Maurer explained he had assumed the alley was built according to the plans <br />and since it did not drain properly following reconstruction, determined <br />it would be necessary to extend the sewer pipe. However, of ter reviewing <br />the plans and surveying the alley, Maurer found the grade was not built <br />according to design and indicated he now feels a better job could be done <br />by lowering catch basins and removing more black top which would cost <br />approximately the same amount as installing additional pipe. Council <br />agreed Maurer should proceed with the necessary corrections, and concurred <br />to adhere to their previous decision to withhold partial payment from both <br />Ramsey County and Bonestroo & Associates. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Ciernia moved, seconded by Wallin, adjournment at 10:26 P.M.
