~~ <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 23, 1988 <br />Mayor Baldwin called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Wallin, Bush, Ciernia, and P. Chenoweth. Also present were Gedde, <br />Wiessner and S. Chenoweth <br />MINUTES OF MARCH 9, 1988 APPROVED <br />The Minutes of March 9, 1988 were approved as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council unanimously approved the following Consent Agenda: <br />1. Fire and Rescue Reports <br />2. Disbursements <br />a. General Disbursements, $67,186.32 <br />b. Payroll 3/1/88 - 3/15/88, $8,902.08 <br />c. Statement from Hensen, Hicken, Gedde & Soucie for February, 1988, <br />$5,945.95 <br />d. Statement from Dahlgren, Shardlow & Uban, February, 1988, $166.60 <br />3. Human Rights Appointments <br />a. Jan Gibson Talbot, 1531 West Idaho, term to expire 12/31/90 <br />b. Richard Gauger, 1815 Fairview, term to expire 12/31/90 <br />c. Wayne R. License #1723 - Applied Roofing Systems (new) <br />ADDENDUM TO AGENDA <br />Council added Item F(6) to the Policy Agenda, A Proposed Resolution Supporting <br />the 1996 Olympic Bid <br />SOLID WASTE COMMISSION ESTABLISHED - APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS <br />Baldwin. explained he and S. Chenoweth had met briefly with the persons who <br />have volunteered to serve on the Solid Waste Commission and at this time <br />the group was holding an organizational meeting. P. Chenoweth then moved <br />that a Solid waste Commission be established and that the following persons <br />be appointed to the Commission: Lyle D. Wray, 1828 Arona, Benno W. Salewski, <br />1800 West Larpenteur #11, Stephen Hard, 1730 West Larpenteur #3K, Nancy Misra, <br />1775 Tatum, John Brynildson, 2489 West Iowa, Leo/Diana Klisch, 1757 Fry, and <br />John Thompson, 1250 Fifield. Motion carried unanimously. <br />MORE INFORMATION TO BE OBTAINED ON PROPOSED LARPENTEUR AVENUE CORRIDOR STUDY <br />Council briefly discussed a proposal from Planner John Uban that a Larpenteur <br />Avenue Corridor Study be pursued. Council agreed in principle, but requested <br />that Wiessner obtain more information on items such as costs and timeframe. <br />The item will be discussed further at the April 13th meeting. <br />
