MINUTES <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 9, 1989 ~~ <br />Baldwin called the meeting to order at 7:15 P. M. <br />PRESENT <br />Baldwin, P. Chenoweth, Cerna and Wallin. Also present were <br />Wiessner, S. Chenoweth and Maurer. <br />ABSENT <br />Bush. <br />MINUTES OF APRIL 26, 1989 APPROVED <br />The Minutes of April 26, 1989 were approved as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda: <br />1. Disbursements <br />a. General Disbursements through 5/9/89, $22,528.98 <br />b. Payroll, 4/16/89 - 4/30/89, $8,839.18 <br />2. Commission Minutes <br />a. Human Rights Commission Minutes of April 20, 1989 <br />b. Planning Commission Minutes of May 1, 1989 <br />3. Waiving License Fee for Lions Club Food Stand at 40th <br />Anniversary Celebration <br />4. Tatum Street Sod Project <br />5. Ramsey County Sheriff's Report <br />6. Licenses <br />7. Posting of Streets on Parade & Run Route as "No <br />Parking" <br />8. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Agreement <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT ON PROPOSED HAMLINE AVENUE (LARPENTEUR TO <br />COUNTY RD B) APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS <br />BILL SOUKOUP, 1763 Hamline, stated he did not understand the <br />assessment procedure for the proposed project to which Baldwin <br />replied that the City follows an assessment policy. Baldwin <br />then reviewed the cost breakdown and explained the present <br />policy and the proposed update which should be completed in four <br />to six weeks. <br />Soukoup then asked how many homes would be in the storm sewer <br />prof ect, and Maurer explained that the cost of the retention <br />pond (Gottfried Pit) is not related to the street and the only <br />storm sewer work being done would be repair to inlets, catch <br />basins, etc. Soukoup expressed his opposition to any pathway or <br />sidewalk as he felt it was unnecessary. <br />TERRY SOUKOUP, 1763 Hamline, stated there is a lot of traffic at <br />Garden and Hamline and felt a stop sign should be considered at <br />that intersection.
