MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 12, 1989 <br />Baldwin called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Bush, P. Chenoweth, Ciernia, and Wallin. Also present <br />was Gedde, Maurer, Wiessner and S. Chenoweth. <br />MINUTES OF JUNE 28, 1989 APPROVED <br />Council approved the Minutes of June 28, 1989 as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda: <br />1. Disbursements: <br />a. General Disbursements Through 7/14/89, $64,072.31 <br />b. Payroll 6/16/89 - 6/30/89, $11,007.97 <br />2. Cancellation of Check No. 22419 <br />3. Appointment of Martin McCleery, 1918 Autumn, to Solid <br />Waste Commission to Complete Term of Benno Salewski <br />(12/31/91) <br />4. Request for Permitted Accessory Use (Utility Bldg.), H. <br />Leonard Boche, 1776 Fry St. <br />5. Licenses: <br />a. Mechanical Contractors, Blaine Heating & AC, #350, <br />and Boehm Heating, #354 <br />b. General Contractors, Mojek Construction, #351, <br />Booker Construction, #352 <br />DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO ASSESSMENT POLICY <br />Maurer's letter dated July 6, 1989, (a copy of which is on file <br />in the Clerk's Office) relating to assessment of collector <br />streets was reviewed, after which Council thoroughly discussed <br />the matter and made recommendations. Maurer will come back with <br />a draft of the assessment policy addressing the items <br />discussed. Council also requested that a map be prepared <br />categorizing the different street uses. <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENT RELATING TO REGULATION OF DOGS DISCUSSED <br />Carol Carlson explained that the purpose of the proposed <br />amendment is to make it more convenient for the Roseville Animal <br />Control Officer to deal with a situation when a dog has bitten <br />someone. The present wording in the Code is different from the <br />Roseville wording forcing the officer to follow two sets of <br />rules. Following a short discussion, Wallin moved adoption of <br />Ordinance 0-89-11 which carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE 0-89-11 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5-2.07 AND 5-2.09 <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO REGULATION OF DOGS <br /> <br />
