MINUTES <br />AUGUST 30, 1989 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Wallin questioned whether or not this kind of money should be <br />spent with the future financing problems the City will face. He <br />was of the opinion that it should go to a vote and was not <br />comfortable taking the funds from reserves. Following the <br />discussion, Bush moved approval to proceed with the plans, with <br />the project to be funded by the Celebrate 1990 Grant, insurance <br />funds and reserves, not to exceed $250.000 and contingent upon <br />some reasonable assurance that the City will have the use of the <br />park land for the life of the building. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted in favor thereof: P. Chenoweth, Bush, <br />Ciernia, and Baldwin, and the following voted against the same: <br />Wallin. Motion carried. <br />HEARING ON DELINQUENT UTILITY CHARGES SCHEDULED FOR 9/27/89, <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Ciernia moved that the Public Hearing on Delinquent Utility <br />Charges be scheduled for September 27, 1989 at 7:30 P.M. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />BUDGET WORKSHOP AND HEARINGS SCHEDULED <br />P. Chenoweth moved that a Budget <br />September 14, 1989 at 5:00 P.M. <br />Hearing be scheduled for October <br />continuation of that hearing to <br />P.M., if necessary.
