SPECIAL MEETING -TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 19l~9 <br />Present; <br />Lynn Matteson,_President <br />k Y~eorge Shavor, Trustee ' -. - ~,,, <br />Art Lindig~ Trustee <br />E• B• Rowley, Deputy Clerk ~.._ <br />Ralph Van Hoven, Treasurer "~ " <br />Frank Graham, Attorney <br />Absent: <br />John Rysgaard, Trustee <br />The meeting xas called to order by President Matteson at 7:~5 p.m. Inasmuch as this xas <br />/a special meeting, the minutes of .the previous meeting xere not read. <br />Petition by Steffnitz Mr. Steffnitz presented his petition for re-zoning the folloxing <br />property: <br />Plat A -.from farm residence to business -the south 150 feet of <br />the north 359-5/10 feet of the NPY4 of the Ngf~ of the N~P~ of Sec- <br />tion 22, Township 29, Range 23, except the rest 506-5/10 feet. <br />Plat B -from farm residence to business - the east 67 feet of <br />the zest l~26-5/j0 feet of the south 150 feet of the north 359/10 <br />feet of the NW4 of the NIP4 of the NIPS of Section 2a~ Trnmship 29, <br />Range 23. <br />Plat C -from farm residence to residence C - that part of the <br />N1P4 of the NNf4 cif the NAf4 of Section 22, Twp. 29, Range 23: <br />Lindig moved the adoption of the folloxing resolution: R~50hVED <br />that pursuant to Section 12 (e) of Ordinance #2, July 5, 19li.9 be <br />and it hereby is fixed as the date for the hearing on the changes <br />in zoning restrictions covered by the petition dated June 11~, ].~9 <br />filed by Mr. Steffnitz and that the Clerk be and he hereby is in- <br />stru~ted to post the notices as required by the said section. <br />Motion seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />Frank Graham, Attorney, xas asked to prepare the notices for the <br />special hearing. ,~ - <br />Clifford H• Thompson I(r. Clifford H. Thompson of 1507 Hest California inquired of the <br />Complaint Council if anything xas being done or if anything xas being <br />planned to relieve the problem caused by lack of proper drainage <br />of storm xater in the alley betxeen Larpenteur and California dust <br />east of Arona. Mr. Krampton of the County Surveyors office xas <br />present and his opinion xas asked. He suggested that the alley <br />be surveyed and the grade .established so as to determine xhat <br />steps xould be necessary to alleviate the situation. A motion <br />xa~made by Lindig that Street Commissioner Seaborn be authorized <br />to request the County Surveyor+s office to make a survey of the <br />alley 3.n the area betxeen~California and Larpenteur from Pascal <br />to Arona and to make a survey of California Avenue at the inter- <br />section of Arona and to give his recommendations for handling <br />the problem, and at the same time to~,ask the County Surveyor+s <br />office to give its recommendation regarding the storm sewer along <br />the zest side of Arona as proposed by Steffnitz.
