This property includes Lots 1 through 5 and half <br />of 6 in Block 9, Lots 12, 1, and 2 in Block 10, and Lota 12 and <br />13 in Block 8. The Council felt that in order to use this prop- <br />erty for a playground, it would be necessary to have the pro- <br />posed alley between Hoyt and Iowa and the proposed alley be- <br />tween Iowa and Idaho vacated. Mr. Graham advised that va- <br />cating proceedings would possibly take about 2 months. Some <br />discussion ensued regarding the necessity of having a place <br />to turn around at the end of Iowa (for storm plow and road <br />equipment) and the best ways of handling it. Mr. Wilson <br />stated he would be agreeable to working with the Village on <br />this problem. Mr. Krampton was asked to made a study of <br />this situation and to have his recommendations regarding it <br />,~ at the meeting on June 27. <br />_~Fire Equipment Ap- Harry Anderson reported that tie fire equipment had been ap- <br />praisal praised at ~22,3~2.6$. The amount of equipment being taken <br />over by Falcon Heights is X9,672.55• Our share of the ap- <br />praised figure if $9,160.50, leaving a difference of X512.05 <br />which we would awe to the Village of Roseville. <br />Additional Fire Harry Anderson reported that he would 13.ke to put in an order <br />Hose Requested for some additional hose. He also advised that h~ thought the <br />order should be placed for the second fire rig. It was agreed <br />that both matters should be acted on on June 27. <br />Complaints regarding Dachtera reported he had received several complaints that the <br />Golf Course and Root root beer stand and the miniature golf course located at <br />Beer Stand Snelling acrd Larpenteur were causing a disturbance until <br />all hours at night. At the present time the Council does <br />not have an ordinance regulating matters of this kind. <br />Matteson moved that Constable Dachtera be instructed t o <br />request the golf course to close at 11:00 p.m. on all <br />nights but Saturday, and on Saturday night to close at <br />12:00 p.m., and that the people operating the root beer <br />stand be requested to shut off the jute box at 9:00 p. m. <br />Motion seconded by Lindig and carried. <br />Bills: Seaborn presented the following bills: <br />~ 38.33 for street .lighting for the month of May <br />l~03.22 for road work from April 26 to day 25 <br />Shavor moved the bills be paid. Motion seconded by Lindig and <br />carried. <br />Water for Fire Matteson reported he had talked with Leonard Seamer who had <br />Station apparently reversed his previous thinking that water ~e ex- <br />..tended to the new village hall and fire station. In his talk <br />with Matteson, Seamer stated he had recommended to the City <br />Council that the water not be extended. Seamer thought the <br />Council was to act on the matter the following dad. It was <br />decided that Matteson and Shavor should attend the City Council <br />meeting. <br />Building Inspector Matteson moved that the building inspector fees be set at <br />Fees 75~ of the fees collected, with the provision that on any <br />commercial building costing in excess of X10,000 or on any <br />residences housing four families or more the building in- <br />spector be requested to secure technical assistance in the <br />inspection of the buildings, .such assistance to be subject <br />to the approval of the Council. The motion was seconded <br />by Lindig and carried. <br />
