~r <br />first day of September, 1949, shall be in the denominations of One <br />Thousand Dollars each,, shall bear interest at the rate specified by <br />the successful bidder, not exceeding, however, 4f per annum payable <br />semi-annually, and shall mature serially on September 1st in the <br />years and amounts following: <br />X4 <br />000.00 in 1951 X5,000.00 in 1956 <br />, <br />000.00 <br />4 in 1952 5,000.00 in 1957 <br />, <br />4,000.00 in 1953 5,000.00 in 1958 <br />4,000.00 in 1954 5,000.00 in 1959 <br />4,000.00 in 1955 <br />All bonds maturing on or subsequent to September 1, 1956, shall be <br />subject to redemption upon any interest payment date on or after <br />September 1, 1954, at par and accrued interest, upon the Village <br />giving thirty days notice of such redemption in the official news- <br />paper of the said Village, specifying by number and maturity the <br />bond or bonds to be called. <br />The Village will furnish printed bonds and the approving <br />legal opinion of Messrs. Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle & Ntacartney, <br />Y1-2162 First National Bank Building, St. Paul, Minnesota, both with- <br />out cost to the purchaser. <br />Both principal and interest of and on the said bonds shall be <br />payable at any suitable bank or Trust Company designated by the suc- <br />cessful bidderw All bids must be unconditional, must be accompanied <br />,,y ~, eertzfied check in the amount of at least X500.00, payable to <br />'the `order of the Village, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in <br />case a bid is accepted and the bidder whose bid has been accepted <br />shall fail to comply therewith. Sealed bids must be submitted <br />stating one or more interest rates in multiples of 1~4 or 110 of <br />one per cent, must be directed to the Council of the Village of <br />Falcon heights and must be mailed or otherwise delivered to Lynn <br />Matteson, I4ayor, at 1494 Iowa Avenue West, Village of Falcon Heights, <br />Minnesota, and must be received by him prior to the time of said <br />meeting.
