Rowley <br />Frank Graham <br />Absent: Lynn Matteson <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by George Shavor, acting Mayor. Minutes of <br />the meetings of June 21, June 27, July 5, July 6, and July 12 were read and approved. The <br />plumbing and heating bids were opened as follows: <br />Plumbing & Heating Bids J• R. Murdock $6,8l~5.76 <br /> L. Sudheimer & Son 7,300.00 <br /> Axel Newman 6,500.00 <br /> A. V. Winterer & Son 6,l~52.00 <br /> H. R. Nichols 7,900.00 <br /> Architecht Buetow recommended that the bid.from A. V. Winterer <br /> & Son be accepted. Dwight Reichow raised a question regarding <br /> possible location of cess pool and septic tank and suggested <br /> they be so located as to be readily accessible should the <br /> sewer lines some day be extended. This matter was referred to <br /> Buetow and Rysgaard. <br />Resolution accepting Upon motion by John Rysgaard, seconded by Lindig, the following <br />bid of A. V. Winterer resolution was adopted: RESOLVED, that the bid of A. V. Winterer <br />& Son & Son to furnish supplies, labor, and materials for the plumb- <br />. ing and heating work in connection with the combined village <br /> hall fire station for the Village of Falcon Heights for the <br /> sum of ~6,1~52 be and the same is hereby accepted, said A. V• <br /> Winterer and Son being the lowest responsible bidder, and that <br /> the Mayor and the Deputy Clerk be and they hereby are author- <br /> ized and directed to execute a contract covering the said work <br /> with the said A. V. Winterer & Son for and on behalf of the <br /> village, said contract to be in such form as the village attor- <br /> ney shall approve, and the Deputy Clerk shall and he hereby is <br /> directed to notify the unsuccessful bidders and to return their <br /> deposit the cls$ t o them. <br />Meet, with F.U.G.T. re- The University of Minnesota requested that the fire station ' <br />garding set-back of `*, village hall be in line with the Farmers Union Grain Terminal <br />village hall fire station. garage, which is located further back from Larpenteur than the <br />F.U•G•T. officer office building. The University stated it had <br />an agreement with the F.U.G.T• to this effect. Buetow and Lin- <br />dig are to meet with Mr. Gallaher of the F.U•G.T• at 8:00 a.m. <br />Wednesday morning, July 27, to determine whether or not F.U. <br />would be opposed to the village hall fire station being located <br />in line with the office building. <br />Permit for house trailer At the request of the building inspector, Reichaw, Mr. and Mrs. <br />Fuller of 1865 West Larpenteur appeared before the council and <br />requested a special permit granting them permission to have two <br />trailers owned and occupied by University students located on <br />their property. Upon motion by Lindig, seconded by Rysgaard, <br />the matter was turned over to Frank Graham for an opinion. Mo- <br />tion carried. <br />
