Rowley <br />Frank Graham <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:50 p.m. by Mayor Matteson. Minutes of the meetings <br />of August 2 and August 9 were read and approved. <br />Bills Following bills were presented for payment: <br />Geo. Swanson, X50, car allowance <br />Briggs, filbert, Morton, Kyle & Macarioney, ~p200 for July <br />Hermes Florist - X25.00 for rental of garage for fire <br />dept. for Sept. and X5.50 for installine one <br />wall plug. <br />Wolters. Auto Supply, X1.25 for battery for fire dept. <br />Lindig moved, seconded by Shavor that the bills be paid. <br />Motion carried. <br />Request granted to Rowley read a request from Claire F. Hildman for an off- <br />Hildmanfor off-sale sale beer license. The request was accompanied by a <br />beer and cigarette check for X5.00. Lindig moved, seconded by Shavor, that <br />license the license be granted to Mr. Hildman. Motion carried. <br />Rezoning of Hermes After consideration of the request from N.L.Hermes for <br />property granted rezoning and the reading of a letter received from the <br />Ramsey County Planning Commission recommending the re- <br />zoning, Trustee Shavor introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: RESOLVED that the petition of N.L. <br />Hermes and others submitted June 27, 19l~9 requesting that <br />Lots 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 11t, 35, 36, 37, and 38 of Cross <br />Roads Addition be rezoned from Residence District A to <br />Business District be and it hereby is granted and that <br />the said property be hereafter zoned as business property. <br />Lindig seconded the motion for the adoptior. of said reso- <br />lution and on the same being put to the meeting, the fol- <br />lowing vote was had and taken: <br />Ayes -Matteson, Shavor, Lindig, Rysgaard <br />Nays -None <br />Thereupon the Mayor declared the resolution duly adopted. <br />S~-phi+~ ~~yen~.^~, The request of W• F• Stepnitz and others <br />to have property located south of Larpenteur Avenue be- <br />tween Snelling Drive and Arona Street rezoned from Farm <br />Residence to: Parcel A to Business; Parcel B to Business; <br />and Parcel C to Residence C, in accordance with the plat <br />attached to the request, was given consideration. Mayor <br />Matteson read a letter received from the Ramsey County <br />Planning Commission advising that it was withholding <br />recommendation. <br />After due consideration and deliberation, Shavor intro- <br />duced the following resolution and moved its adoption: a <br />RESOLVED that the request of <br />dated June 1l~, 1949 requesting that Parcel A (the south <br />150 feet of the north 359-5/10 feet of the NGIt4 of the NVP~ of <br />of the NyP4 of Section 22, Township 29, Range 23, except <br />
