following resolution: RESOLVED that George Swanson, Fire Chief, Harold Imhoff, Assistant Fire Chief, and Joseph Rechtiene, _ William Utecht, and George Geis, members of the Public Safety Committee, be and they hereby are appointed special police of- ficers for the Village of Falcon Heights, to be available end to respond to emergencies as they arise within the village, subject at all times to the direction and control of the village council. Upon motion by Lindig, seconded by Rysgaard, the following reso- lution was adopted: RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Deputy Clerk be and they hereby are authorized to enter into a lease with the University of Minnesota covering the rectangular piece of land located immediately adjacent to the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Garage on the west to be used as the location of the combined village hall fire station, the lease to run for a per- iod of 30 years from July 1, 19l~9 at X15.00 per year, with a option of the Village having a 15 year renewal at a rate to be agreed on, the lease to be in fhe form and containing the identi- cal terms of the original lease submitted by the University of Minnesota as modified by agreement with the University of Minnesota.
