Idaho, joined Ray Schommer in his <br />plea that the request be denied. <br />Mayor Matteson asked for a five minute recess, at the con- <br />clusion of which he stated that the council felt the re- <br />zoning centered on the question as to whether duplexes or <br />multiple row houses would be more suitable, and it ap- <br />peared to be a matter of difference of opinion. He added <br />that the council felt it would be advisable to secure the <br />professional advice of a disinterested person who is en- <br />gaged in municipal planning. <br />t <br />Rezoning Tabled Rysgaard moved that the above resolution for the rezoning <br /> of Parcel C be tabled until a professional opinion could <br /> be obtained. Motion seconded by Lindig and carried. <br />Professional Advice Mayor Matteson moved the council instruct and direct <br />Requested on Rezoning Trustee Shavor to employ a professional city planning en- <br /> gineer to make a survey of the rezoning of Parcel C as <br /> requested by W. F. S tepnitz and that a special meeting of <br /> the council be called to hear the reggrt as soon as it is <br /> obtained. Motion seconded by Lindig and carried. <br />Ordinance #6 After introducting Mr. Darrell, Traffic Engineer of the <br /> Highway Department, Frank Graham read and presented <br /> Ordinance #6 (nAn Ordinance Regulating the Use of Highways <br /> within the Village of Falcon Heighta and Imposing Penalties <br /> for the Village thereof.tt) After the reading of the ordi- <br /> nance, Rysgaard moved it be adopted. Motion seconded by <br /> Shavor and carried. <br />Dachtera and Zirnhelt Upon motion by Rysgaard, seconded by Lindig, the following <br />appointed police officers resolution was adopted: RESOLVED that Henry Dachtera and <br />A• C. Zirnhelt be and they hereby are appointed police of- <br />ficers for the Village of Falcon heights with such duties <br />and hours as may be prescribed by the village council, <br />subject at all times to the direction of the Mayor. <br />Compensation for officers After due consideration, Mayor Matteson introduced the fol- <br />lowing resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLVED that <br />the compensation for the policy officers be established <br />as follows: X1.00 per hour, with a maximum of 15 hours per <br />week per officer, plus 8¢ per mile for miles driven with <br />a maximum of 150 miles per week per officer. Trustee Lin- <br />dig seconded the motion for the adoption of said resolution <br />and on the same being put to the meeting the following vote <br />was had and taken: <br />Ayes - Matteson, Shavor, Lindig <br />Nays -Rysgaard <br />Thereupon the Mayor declared the resolution duly adopted. <br />Fire Dept. to accept The fire department has agreed to accept the police calls <br />Calls. Others and to relay the calls to the police officers. inasmuch <br />deputized as the two police officers may not always be available, it <br />was the suggestion of H. E. Anderson that the fire chief <br />and the assistant fire chief be deputized and it was the <br />suggestion of J.P. Paul Coppini that the members of the <br />Public Safety Committee be deputized.
