Rowley <br />Frank Graham <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:50 p.m. by Mayor Matteson. <br />Minutes of previous meeting of August 22d, 1949 were read and <br />approved.. No bills were presented for payment. <br />Mayor Matteson read a suggested letter to eppompany Ordinance <br />#6, to be forwarded to all residences of the village of Falcon <br />heights, and ~vith a fewv suggested changes, it was agreed that <br />this was a good idea. <br />Bus Service Mr• Lodahl of 17`75 No. Pascal stated that <br />the North Star Bus Lj.ne was considering <br />a petition with the Railroad and Yarehouse <br />Commission t o discontinue running out in <br />this section on account of its not being <br />profitable . <br />Mr. Lodahl reported that the Twin Cities <br />Bus Co• was willing and ready to make <br />application to the Railroad and ;Varehouse <br />Commission to run their bus to Lerpenteur, <br />to Pas cal,to Rose lawn and than to Smelling <br />returning to City Limits. Mr• Shavor <br />read a letter re ceived from the Twin Cities <br />Bus Co. stating their willingness to re- <br />route to Falcon Heights. There was consid- <br />arable objection to having the Twin Cities <br />Line running their bus on Pas ca 1. John H . <br />Binder of 1"164 No. Pascal, suggested run- <br />ning the bus on Larpenteur to Hamline,. <br />out Hemline to Garden and up Garden to <br />Snelling. <br />~r~• Dachtera of 1"134 No. Pascal objected <br />to running the bus on Pascal on account <br />of the hill, and was of the opinion that <br />there mi ~ht be possible chances for a c c~ - <br />dents. B~r• Reilly of 1803 No. Pascal re- <br />ported that he was in favor of the bus <br />on Pascal. Geo. Ritter of 1'191 No. pascal <br />reported he did not think the bus would be <br />of any disadvantage so far as children <br />were concerned. Vm. Olson of 1"l84 No. <br />Pascal added no objection other than that <br />the bus company might be limited to a <br />certain speed limit. The answer was "noT <br />from Attorney Graham, and that this was <br />a matter to go throughthe Highway Depart- <br />ment.
