Mr• Graham reported <br /> that police officers have to be on hand <br /> when presenting their case in police court, <br /> and should. be paid accordingly. Mr. Utecht <br /> was of the opinion that the time allowed or <br /> set up as a maximum for the police officers <br />was not sufficient and he be lieved that <br /> their time should be set up on a time <br /> basis • Henry Dachtera, alone, put in 39 <br /> hours, with a mileage of 294 miles. <br /> Rysgaard made motion ave raise hourly basis <br /> from a 30 hour maximum to 75 hours per week <br /> for police officers subject to approval <br /> of Public Saf®ty Committee as they deem <br /> it necessary to adequately serve the c©m- <br /> munity with police protection. Motion <br /> denied. It was the opinion of Art Lindig <br /> that the hours set up should be tried out for <br /> a little while longer" in order t o give it <br /> a fair trial, bringing out the fact that <br /> Fair ryeek no doubt called for more patrol- <br /> ling. <br />Village Doctor Harry Anderson contacted Dr• Ausmann, and <br /> he is willing t o be known as ;Village Doctor <br /> and will check each fireman at the rate <br /> of X2.00 per man, there being 15 in all. <br /> Mayor Matteson moved that Dr • Ausmanri be <br /> authorized to make a physical examination <br /> of our 15 firemen at a cost of X2.00 <br /> each. Motion seconded by Lindig and <br /> Shanor.'.~ Harry Anderson also reported <br /> the Fire Dept. is desirous of holding a <br /> carniva 1, and a date and place is to be <br /> obtained and presented at the next Council <br /> meeting. ~ #.._Motion earr~ied. <br />
