After discussion <br />• icn which it was pointed out that the land <br />could be used immediately for drainage pur- <br />poses and later deve loped for play ground <br />and park purpose s ~ Lindig moved the adop- <br />tion of the following resolution; Resolved: <br />That the Mayor and Deputy Clerk Be, and <br />they hereby are, authorized to enter into <br />a contract for and on behalfof .the Village <br />of Falcon Heights to Purchase Lots 1, 2, <br />W,~so~n ProP~rty 3, 4, 5, and the north 20 feet of Lot 6 in <br />purchase ao~korized Block #9 and Lots 1 and 12 in Block X10, <br />all in Northome 2d addition according to <br />the plat on file ald of record in the <br />office of Registrar of Deeds in and for <br />Ramsey County Minnesota from Roland K. <br />~dilson for the sum of two thousand dollars <br />02000.00} . Motion adopted unanimous ly. <br />BR,ts L~.nes John Rysgaard called Mr. Fitzsimmons; <br />Vice-President of the Street Railnray <br />Company, who stated that the estimated weft <br />of buses eras from six to eight tons, and <br />upon this information Mr. Rysgaard called <br />Stan Sesborn uvho reported the streets were <br />not built to stand the load, and suggested <br />rerouting to Hamline and over to Garden. <br />Mr . Fitzsimmons would not commit himse if , <br />i t bei ng a question o f making connections <br />with the streetcar lines and it bus could <br />run over Pascal it would give them additional <br />revenue to make it worthwhile. Mayor <br />Matteson read a suggested letter by Street- <br />car Company, and requested Mr. Rysgaard to <br />contact Mr. Fitzsimmons regarding other <br />route. No action was taken on resolution <br />by Street Railway Company. <br />Delay in Build- Harry Anderson reported that there wvas a <br />ing New Fire delay in the building of the new Village <br />Station Halland Fire Station and after October 1, <br />1949 present quarters for~~n~t~~g~n <br />would cost X1.00 per day. r q es ed <br />some action be taken to expedite work. <br />I,suderdale Harry Anderson reported that Lauderdale <br />Contract was going to have a meeting September 12, <br />and he inquired as to whether or not it <br />wou ld be a good idea for him to be there <br />and 'was informed that they did not think <br />his presence wou ld be of any he lp a t this <br />particular meeting.
