R ow'9.ey • <br />Frank Graham <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p • m. by Mayor Matte - <br />s on, <br />Village Hall and Mr. Buetow and Mr• Sweitzer discussed <br />Fire Station the progress being made iri the con- <br />Promise Completion struction of the Village Hall and <br />Date Nov. 15th - Fire Station. Mr. Sweitzer .reported <br />that the work should be completed <br />• about November 15th. <br />Pure Oil Company ~ Mr • Rei chow re ported that he had re - <br />Application ceived an application of the Pure <br />Oil Company fora permit to install <br />two 3,000 gallon and one 2,000 <br />gallon tanks in place of the present <br />three 1,000 gallon tanks at its <br />station located on Larpenteur and <br />Arona. It was suggested that Mr. <br />Reichow cheek to see if the in- <br />stallation would comply with the fire <br />underwriter's re quireraents and re - <br />port back at the next meeting. <br />Proposed Rezoning Mr• Matteson then called the hearing <br />U. of M. tracts on the proposed rezoning requested <br />of land by the University of Minnesota cover- <br />ing two tracts of land, orb on:_ <br />Larpenteur avenue and the other on <br />Snelling avenue , as described in the <br />requests. <br />The rezoning of the ierpenteur avenue <br />tract °was first considered. Mr. <br />Fred Bradford, Special Asst . Attorney <br />General, appeared for the University. <br />Shavor reported that he had been ad- <br />vised that the Ramsey County Plann3xig <br />Commission would recommend the re- <br />zoning requested. No one appeared <br />t o oppose the re quest and the hearing <br />was closed. <br />Lindig introduced the following <br />resolution: <br />"RESOLVED, That at the request of <br />the Regents of the University of <br />Minnesota dated August 30, 1949, <br />
