<br />REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 1919 <br />Present: Lynn Matteson, Mayor <br />George Shavor <br />John Rysgaard <br />Ralph Van Hoven <br />Frank Graham <br />Absent: Art Lindig <br />E. B• Rowley <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. The minutes of the meeting of Octo- <br />ber 11 and the meeting of October 25 were read and approved. <br />Tax anticipation The council requested Frank Graham, attorney, and Ralph Van <br />certificates and Hoven, Treasurer, to investigate the requirements for the is- <br />certificates of suance of X5,000 of tax anticipation certificates to be paid <br />indebtedness by September 1, 1950 and an additional X5,000 of certificates <br />of indebtedness to be paid by September 1, 1951. <br />Village Election The next village election is to be held Tuesday, December 6. <br />December 6 The offices to be filled are mayor, one trustee, one justice <br />of the, peace, and one constable. The last date for filing is <br />Tuesday, November 22, the last day for posting notices of elec- <br />tion is Saturday, November 26, and the last day to post the <br />sample ballots is Saturday, December 3. George Shavor was <br />asked to make arrangements with the L & L appliance, if possi- <br />ble, for the voting place and to bring to the next meeting <br />suggested names for tellers. <br />Resolution to In accordance with the request made at the meeting of Octo- <br />R & W Comm. ber 25, Mr. Lodahl presented several petitions signed by a <br />re bus line majority of the residents living on the proposed bus line <br />requesting the council to assign to the Railroad and ';~arehouse <br />Commission the following resolutions <br />Requesting the Railroad and tiVarehouse Commission of the State <br />of Minnesota to grant the application of the St. Paul City <br />Railway Company for a certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity permitting the rerouting of its Snelling Avenue <br />bus line. <br /> <br />'r'VHEREAS, because of the abandonment by the P~lorth ;,tar Bus Company of bus <br />service in Falcon ~Ieights, the convenience of_ residents of Falcon Heights <br />will be vreatly increased if the bus line operated by Tile ,°,t. Paul City P~ail- <br />way Company is rerouted so that it will traverse a route which will make such <br />service more conveniently available to the majority of residents of ;'alcon <br />Heights, and <br />~~JHEREAS, The St. Paul City Railway Cornpan~r is willing to reroute and extend <br />its bus line so that instead of operating its present bus line on Snelling <br />Avenue between Larpenteur and Roselawn avenues, said bus line will in lieu <br />thereof be operated over the f'ollov~ring described route: <br />Commencing at the intersection of Larpenteur ar_d Snelling <br />A~¢enues; thence easterly on Larpenteur Avenue to P,,scal <br />rvenue; thence northerly on Pascal Avenue to Roselawn <br />Avenue; thence westerly on Roselawn Avenue to Snelling <br />Avenue; Return trip over the same route or an alternate <br />route to be determined. <br /> <br /> <br />n <br />i <br />
