Lindig, Trustee <br />Before entering upon their duties, each newly elected village officer <br />executed his oath of office and qualified for his respective office according to <br />meeting was then called to order by bia~or Henry at ?:50 pm. Minutes of <br />December 27,1949 meeting read and approved. <br />Lynn Matteson Adoption of the following resolution was moved by Shavor, seconded <br />Resolution by Stewart, and adopted by unanimous vote - <br />WHEREAS, Lynn Matteson served as the first B~ayor of the Village <br />of Falcon heights from its incorporation to December. 31, 1949, <br />and previously as Chairman of the Town Board of the Town of Rose, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, during all of this time he has given generously of his <br />time and effort to matters affecting the Village and the public <br />interest, including, among others, the incorporation of the <br />Village, the erection of the Village Hall and Fire Station, and <br />negotiations with the Governor of the State of Minnesota, the <br />Legislature of the State oP Minnesota, the City of Saint Paul <br />and the University of Minnesota. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights, for themselves and the residents of <br />the Pillage, hereby expresses its appreciation and thanks to <br />
