All such <br />collateral shall be approved by the council and shall be aocompanied <br />by an assignment thereof which shall provide that in casd of default <br />upon the part of the depository the ocunci~ of the village shall have <br />full power and authority to sell such collateral or as much as may be <br />necessary to realise the ftiill amount due the municipality over suoh <br />federal guarantee. <br />This designation is effective until the end oP the present <br />council year. <br />Said resolution was adopted unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING COLLATER6L AND DIRECTING DEPOSIT <br />OF SASE WITH THE FIRST NATION~J.. BANK OF ST PAUL <br />In connection with the proposal by the Faloon Heights State Bank, <br />adoption of the following resolution was moved by Henry, seconded <br />by Lindig, and carried unanimously - <br />RESOLVED, That the collateral as li sted in the custodian receipt, <br />dated March 6, 1950; total, X20,000.00 of U.S.A. Treasury Notes, <br />Series B-1951, be and it hereby is approved. <br />RESOLVED ALSO, That the Faloon Heights State Bank is hereby <br />directed to deliver the acid collateral to fhe First National Bank <br />of St Paul for safekeeping, as listed in the custodian receipt <br />dated March 6, 1.950, and that the Treasurer of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights is hereby authorized to sign said custodian receipt <br />and do anything necessary to release the deposits under the <br />custodian receipt dated June 24, 1949. <br />Adding machine The matter of purohasing a new or used adding machine for the <br />for clerk, clerk was discussed. Henry suggested that he would contact one <br /> or more adding maohine people to see what they could offer. <br />Fire Chief's Reporting for the committee appointed to consider the Fire Chief's <br />salary and salary and allowances, Shavor stated that the Fire.Chief will pny <br />allowances. for the apartment eleotric service, that he will use the public <br /> phone and pay the listing fee, that it was understood he would <br /> maintain the hall and grounds unless the hall is used to suoh an <br /> extent that it becomes neoessary to reconsider the matter. On the <br /> car allowance, it was thought that after s year perhaps Assistant <br /> Fire Chief Harold Imhoff should have some ad3ustment in his pay, <br /> and that the Fire Chief's car allowance should run until June of <br /> this year, at whioh time it was suggested that salaries of both <br /> Swanson and Imhoff be oonsidered As to linen service; Shavor said <br /> the committee felt that if we buy the linen for use of the Fire <br /> Department~nd expect the firemen to wash it, that a drier would be <br /> necessary, especially during the winter when the laundry could not <br /> be dried outside. Also if we furnish linen that a washer would <br /> have to be furnished, but that tho committee's recommendation in <br /> this connection is not final. <br />Payment of Fire On recommendation of the committee, it was moved by Henry, seconded <br />Chief's salary by Lindig, that the Fire Chief's semi-monthly salary check be drawn <br /> for $118.60 (125.00 lass X6.40 federal withholding. tax), with the <br /> understanding that the Fire Chief pay to the •illage #25.00 semi- <br /> monthly for his apartment. Carried. <br />
