Pumping at Fire Chief Swanson reported to the council that pumping <br />Holton de out flooded area at Holton and Garden required working <br />Garden frame 6:30 pm., Sunday, March 26 to 8;00 am., Tuesday, <br />March 26, a total of 38~g hours, during which 130 gallons <br />of gasoline and three quarts of oil were consumed. <br />Volunteer man hours totaled 88~ hours, and off-time <br />worked by the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire 6h~ef oP <br />21 hours. <br />1 ~' V <br />stated <br />Harry Anderson offers Harry Anderson that not because he wanted to but beoanse <br />resignation as Chair- oP his doctor's orders to take it easier, he was offering <br />man, Fire Protection his resignation as Chairman of the Fire Protection Committee. <br />Committee. Graheun, Attorney <br />Meeting called to order at 7:45 pm. Minutes of March 28 meeting were read, <br />and in connection with resolution approving fire hose bid, the wording was corrected <br />to read "lowest bid meeting specifications" instead of "lowest responsible bidder." <br />The minutes were then approved as corrected. <br />I. Wise re Messrs. Wise and J. Moore again appeared before the council <br />taxicab to inquire as to aotion taken regarding their application <br />license. for a taxicab license or franchise. Mr. tl~ise informed the <br />council that Lauderdale had set up an ordinance and would <br />likely approve his application, but that the Yillage of Rose- <br />ville does not as yet have a taxicab ordinance. It was <br />agreed that the clerk should try and aecu re cops ee of Lauder- <br />dale's ordinance for Trustee Shavor and Attorney Graham, with <br />the understanding that Shavor would draft up a proposed <br />ordinance and that Graham will work with him. Wise to report <br />at the next regular meeting when it is expected the proposed <br />ordinance will be ready. <br />
