. .. <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PLANNING COA~ISSION <br />BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of Falcon Heights as follows; <br />Section 1. Establishment of Commission. A planning commission <br />for the Village of Falcon Heigkits is hereby established to be known <br />as the "Falcon Heights planning Commission". <br />Section 2. C~om~o__s~ition. Such planning commission shall consist <br />of five members. --fi r~®e members shall be appointed by the village <br />council and may be removed by afour-fifths vote of the council; the <br />village street commissioner and the village building inspector shall <br />also be members and shall hav® the right to vote. <br />Of the members ofx,the commission first appointed, one shall be <br />appoint®d for the term ending January 1,,1951, one for the term <br />ending January 1, 1952, and one for the term ending January 1, 1953. <br />Their successors shall be appointed for terms of three years. Both <br />original amd successive appointees shall hold their offices until <br />their successors are appointed and qualified. The terms of the <br />village street commissioner and the village building inspector shall <br />correspond to their respective official tenures. Vacancies during <br />the term shall be filled by the council for the unexpired portion of <br />the term.. Every member shall before entering upon-the discharge of <br />his duties take an oath that he will faithfully discharge the duties <br />of his office. All members shall serve without compensation. <br />Section 3. prganiza,timn l~eetin s, Etc. The commission shall elect <br />a chairman and a score ary'~rom among s appointed members for a term <br />of one year; and the commission may create and fill such other offices <br />as it may determine. <br />The commission shall hold at least one regular meeting each month. <br />It shall adopt rules for the transaction of business and shall k®ep a <br />record of its resolutions, transactions, and findings, which record <br />shall be a public record. On or before January first of each year the <br />commission shall submit to the grillage council a report of its work <br />during the preceding year. Expenditures of the commission shall be <br />.within amounts appropriated for the purpose by the village council. <br />Section 4. Adoption of Program of 1Nork. Upon the appointment and <br />organization of tie commission, it shall proceed with the preparation <br />and adoption of a program of work, outlining activities proposed to <br />be undertaken in the exercise. of its powers and the performance _of its <br />duti®B. Such a program will. include; <br />(a) An outline of data and information to b® assembled as a basis <br />for the village plan; <br />(b) An outline of sub3ects to be covered by the village plan; <br />(c) An outline of types of procedure necessary to make the village <br />plan effective. <br />
