~J <br />Village Hall On recommendation of Attorney Graham, Lindig moved, seconded <br />property by Shavor, that the Clerk be authorised to draw a cheek for <br />rental to X15.00 payable to the University of Minnesota in payment of the <br />University second year's rent for the Yillt~gg Hall property, if upon <br />examination of the lease this amount should be paid before <br />the next meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Third paid man, Following a discussion of the Fire Underwriter's requirement <br />Fire Department. with respect to putting on a third paid man, Fire Chief Swanson <br />advised he would appoint Earl Grumke, 1819 N. Snelling, if the <br />position is authorised. Henry moved that the council authorise <br />putting. on s third paid man and that he be started at X200.00 <br />a month. Graham, Attorney <br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Roy, 1797 N. Hemline, appeared before the Board regarding increase <br />in their real estate taxes compared with a year ago. <br />Because the Yillage Assessor's books wero not ready for review, the Board voted <br />to recess the meeting until 7.:30 pm., July 12, 1950.
