;- -.. <br />Private Patrol Public safety comt~ittee Chairman von grndt reported on a meeting <br />Service report of his committee, August 18, to consider the private police patrol <br />set up offered by I~r. Geroux. Arndt said that the police experience <br />of the private patrol members, their proposed service and its cost <br />were fully discussed. In connection with the total estimated cost <br />of $395.00 per month, Mr. Arndt pointed out that the Public Safety <br />department has no funds for this service, and that if it is decided <br />to have a police set up of our own, it would have to be provided for <br />in next year's budget. Did not feel that a special police set up <br />is necessary, especially with service now furnished by the Sheriff <br />and with the chances of improving this service if and when the sheriff <br />receives an additional car after the first of the Year. Arndt said <br />that he knew of no complaints or calls that had not been taken care of. <br />Traffic Relative to traffic hazard on A ronQ between Hoyt and Larpenteur, <br />hazard Arndt said the Public Safety committee recommends placing of a bump <br />Arona or slow sign at Arona & Idaho. Commissioner Seaborn advised that <br />ell slow signs have been taken down in accordance with State Highway <br />regulations. Bump signs, he said, would serve the purpose. .Shavor <br />moved that two "Bump" signs be installed on Arona at the intersection <br />of Idaho. Seconded by Henry and carried. <br />Private Shavor then moved that report of the Public Safety committee ~e <br />Patrol service presented by Chairman Arndt be accepted and the matter of a private <br />tabled. patrol service be tabled. Seconded by Stewart and carried by <br />unanimous vot®. <br />
