Seoonded <br />by Henry and unanimously carried. <br />Sweitzer bill John Rysgaard, being present, reported that in checking General <br />adjustment Contractor Sweitzer's bill, he found that allowance had not been <br />made for deductions from the original contract as per changes ~.n.~ <br />the plans and specifications as agreed to and approved by resolution, <br />July 12, 1949, making a difference of about X1,700 less in the <br />balance shown as Final payment. Henry moved final payment of J.S. <br />Sweitzer & Son, Inc. bill covering general construction work in the <br />amount of X9,925.08, sub3eet to checking by the Treasurer of <br />payments made and to his recommendation of necessary fund transfers <br />to permit payment at the next regular meeting. ,~havor seconded <br />and so ordered by unanimous vote. <br />Architect Stewart moved approval of final payment of Architect Buetow's bill <br />Buetow's in the amount of X409.75. Shavor seconded and carried unanimously. <br />bill. <br />Vote thanks Mayor Henry then moved that John Rysgaard be exte~ed a vote of <br />to Rysgaard thanks and appreciation for outstanding services rendered in con- <br />nection with the planning and construction of the Village Hall and <br />Fire Station, and that the Clerk be requested to send i~r. Rysgaard <br />s copy of this resolution. Rekstad seconded and resolution adopted <br />by a unanimous vote. <br />Trash cans Henry presented a circular showing size and prices of waste disposal <br />for business sans. After discussion, Shavor moved, seconded by Rekstad, that <br />area. the matter be tabled until next spring. Motion carried. <br />Public Employees The Public Employees Retirement Act with respect to the Village was <br />Retirement Assn. discussed. Attorney Graham will write to Village Employees whose <br /> salaries are subject to the provisions of the Act. <br />Clerk reports The Clerk read a letter from the Telephone Company in answer to <br />Phone service- his inquiry regarding the measured type of service. Also reported <br />Post Office_ on Eckman contacting the Postmaster as to establishing a U.S. <br />division R.E. Post office in Falcon Heights, post office inquiry regarding <br /> building permits, and letters received from Congressman Eugene <br />with Roseville. J. McCarthy and Postmaster Van Dyke• Also that Roseville <br /> reported they were mailing for signatures copies of proposed <br /> agreement covering division of real estate with the Village of <br /> Roseville. <br />1 <br />
