i <br />Bills (cont'd) <br />Rekstad moved payment of bills, Shavor seconded, and so ordered. <br />atreete <br />Snow plowing Letter of November 9, 1950, from County Engineer, enclosing map showing <br />of streets on which snow plowing is scheduled, was read and discussed. Henry moved <br />that the same streets as shown be plowed when necessary. Seconded by <br />Rekstad and motion carried unanimously. <br />Hearing on Mayor Henry declared open the public hearing on the proposed street <br />Street Plan plan for the area bounded by Roselawn, Hamline, Garden and Holton, in <br />accordance with posted and published notices. The 56ayor exhibited <br />the proposed plan and copies were passed around. Four members of the <br />Planning Commission were present. After discussion, during which there <br />was no ob3ection to the plan, the following resolution, on motion by <br />Henry, seconded by Shavor, was unanimously adopted; the Clerk being <br />requested to certify a copy of the plan for recording with the Registe r <br />of Deeds as required by statute - <br />Resolution: RESOLVED, that the street plan for the area bounded by Holton, Rose- <br />la~nm, Hamline and Garden, filed with the Village council and <br />recommended by the Planning Commission, be and it hereby is adopted <br />and approved as the official map of this portion of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights, indicating the proposed future extension of streets <br />and the proposed widening of existing stre~sts in this area as set <br />out in Sec. 471.28 of t,~e4.Minnesota ~~5tatutes. '`- , <br />Stepnitz W. F. Stepnitz and Don Julen appeared before the Council in connection <br />proposed with the proposed nszoning of certain described property owned by <br />rezoning Snelling Manor, Inc., Center Manor, Inc., Idaho Manor, Ina., and <br />W.F. Stepnitz, so as to permit building of a five-car garage for <br />apartment tenants. Messrs. ~tialliams and Gallaher, of the Planning <br />Commission, took part in the discussion that followed. Stepnitz <br />and Julen were advised that without the filing of a petition the <br />Council could take no action in the matter. <br />Ramsey County ~tias again considered and discussed. On recommendation of the <br />Planning Falcon Heights Planning Commission, Shavor moved payment of con- <br />Commission tribution of $50.00 to the Ramsey County Planning Commission for <br />Membership the year commencing September, `1950. <br />Shavor and George Shavor then tendered his resignation as a member of the <br />Reichow resign Ramsey County Planning Commission, explaining that he always felt <br />from Planning the Planning Commission should be composed of members other than <br />Commission government officials. Dwight Reichow also submitted his resignation <br />from said Planning Commission because of the press of other <br />activities. Stewart moved that both resignations be accepted and <br />that Messrs. Shavor and Reichow be extended a vote of thanks for <br />their services on the Commission in behalf of the Village. Seconded <br />by Henry and carried by unanimous vote. <br />Williams and On motion by Henry, seconded by Rekstad, it was then voted unanimously <br />Gallaher to appoint Lorris Williams and J. A. Gallaher to membership on the <br />appointed. Ramsey County Planning Commission for the unexpired terms of George <br />Shavor and Dwight Reichow, respectively. <br />Rent Letter as to aaptration of rent control in the Village area unless <br />Control the Council acts prior to December 31, 1950, to continue it, was <br />read and discussed. .Action was postponed until the general feeling <br />
