1:~~ <br />Meeting Meeting of the Council was resumed at 9:15 P.lt. <br />resumed <br />School district The question of requiring the School district to take out a <br />building permit building permit for the erection of the new sohool was con- <br />sidered. After considerable discussion, Lindig moved the <br />adoption oP the following resolution: <br />Resolution: WHEREAS, the plans of the proposed sohool have been ohecked <br />by Building Inspect or Reichow and oomply in all respects with <br />the Village building code, and <br />WHEREAS, the said plans have been prepared by a reputable <br />architect and have been approved by the various State depart- <br />ments concerned, and <br />WHEREAS, during the course of the erection of the building, <br />the State departments will be making periodic inspections of <br />the building - <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a building permit be issued <br />for the new school and that the Pee therefor be waived. <br />Seconded by Stewart and said resolution adopted by a unanimQua <br />vote. <br />Hollywood Commissioner Seaborn reported receiving a call to order repairs <br />Court alleys due to holes in alleys of Hollywood Court. The matter of alley <br /> maintenance in this area was referred to Attorney Graham for <br /> checking. <br />Truoks on Seabo rn also reported he had ordered placing of 3-ton limit <br />Pasoal signs on Pascal to keep heavy trunks fro m using this street <br /> under present conditions. <br />"Watch Out Kenneth Hanson, 1483 West California, appeared before the council <br />for Children" to request, as a protection to children, that drive slow signs <br />signs be placed at entrances of alley between Pascal and Arona behind <br /> apartment buildings on Larpenteur. Seabo m will arrange. <br />Personal property After discussion, Henry moved that George Shavor prepare an <br />tax article article on personal property taxes in the Yillage for publication <br /> in the Rose Trfbune and for use of the Yillage Assessor. Seconded <br /> by Lindig and carried unanimously. <br />Village Hall & The matter of providing T~sarar:d Extended ooverage insurance on <br />Fire Station the Yillage Hall and Fire Station and contents, also on equipment <br />Insurance and records of the Yillage, in the clerk's office at 1432 West <br /> California, was reported on by the clerk. After discussion, <br /> Rekatad moved that a five-year annual pay fire and extended <br /> insurance policy, using 80 per Dent co-insurance, be purchased <br /> from George Gustafson or the Keller Corporation, depending on <br /> whioh Company can offer the best deal. Seconded by Shavor and <br /> carried unanimously. ~ <br />Deluge nozzle Stewart reported that in eheoking Puri her on portable deluge <br /> nozzle, t~ that a 3-inlet nossle with tips of three sizes, <br /> such as a Grant multirea~all, was recommended for our Yillage. <br /> He was asloed to cheok with companies handling this type of nozzle <br /> and to report at the next meeting. <br />
