Permit, Leonard R. A. Keller, of the Keller Corporation, asked to be heard regard- & Pearl Peterson ing the application of Leonard and Pearl Peterson, 2083 N. Lexington, who own the aouth 34 ft. of Lot 6 and all of Lot ?, except the south 17 ft. thereof, Bloak 9, Northome Sec and Addit ion, for a permit to build on said property. Keller was informed th st our building code forbids issuing such permit because of the property being a part of a drainage area. Hoyt & In connection with vacating alleys between Hoyt and Iowa, Seaborn Iowa alleys stated the devel®per's attorney had agreed to the vacating request, with proposed turn-around coming into S.E. corner, Lot 1, Block 10, Northome Second Addition - measurement of turn-around to be 30 Peet wide and 30 feet deep. Henry moved that petition be referred to our attorney for checking and advice as to proper procedure. Seconded by Rekstad and carried by unanimous vote. Mutual Fire Asked as to mutual fire protection agreements, Fire Chiesf Swanson re- Protecti®n ported that these were verbal understandings with Spring Lake Park, aid. Lake Johanna and Little Canada. The question of whether the Yillage may enter into written mutual aid agreements with such areas was referred to Attorney Graham. Expenses Chief Swanson asked that the council authorise payment of expenses Fire Dept. of the Fire Chief and one volunteer fireman at the State Fire Convention, Department Aasoeiati®n's ?8th Annual Convention, at Cloquet, ~inneaota, Cloquet June 11, 12 and 13, 1951, with the understanding that a volunteer meamber would attend in turn each year according to date of service. Rekstad moved that said expenses be authorized to Dover the railr®ad fare and $10.00 per day for each delegsd<b. Seconded by Shavor and carri ed unanimously.
