~~ 6 <br />Posting As to posting of Village streets against heavy loads during soft <br />roads road conditions; Attorney Graham was asked to cheek the statute <br />as to the Council's authority in this regard. <br />Street Bill from Ramsey County for $324.09, for street work Jan. 26 to <br />bill February 25, 1952, and payable from 1952 allotment (2,210.13) <br />was presented to the c ouneil with approval of items listed thereon <br />by Street Commissioner Seaborn. <br />Weed In connection with formal notice of appointment form received from <br />Inspector the IIniversity farm, covering appointment and compensation of <br />Village Weed Inspeotor - The Council having previously appointed <br />Dirk Postema for 1952, Rekstad moved, seconded by Lindig, that the <br />Weed Inspector's compensation be fixed at X2.00 an hour. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />Hall for Ddayor Henry reported receiving request from the Ramsey County <br />Rep~bliean Republican committee to use the Village Hall for Republican caucas <br />caucas March 31, 1952. On motion by Rekstad, seconded by Lindig, it was <br />voted to provide free use of the Hall for this purpose. <br />Hall for It was then moved by Lindig, seconded by Rekstad, that the Mayor <br />Democrat also be authorised to provide free use of the Pillage Hall if he <br />caucas received a similar request from the Democratic-Farmer-Labor <br />committee. <br />Scarlet Health Officer Lindig reported placing of a scarlet fever placard <br />fever dated Marsh 11, 1952, on the residence of Donald H. Hebb, 1770 <br />Arona. <br />Civilian The Clerk reported that Alton Christenson, 1426 Calif ornia bvenue <br />Defense West, has indie ated his services and those of other amateur radio <br />operators in this area are available for Civilian Defense. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.M. <br />Approved: <br />Mayor <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />
