270 <br />Curbing, The clerk read Mr. Stepnits' letter of April 4,.1952, requesting <br />Larpenteur that the curbing in connection with the improvement of Larpenteur <br />between Avenue between Snelling Avenue and Arona Avenue be constructed by <br />Snelling & the village and the cost assessed against the abutting property. <br />Arona After some discussion, the following resolution was moved by Henry, <br /> seconded by Shavor, and unanimously adopted: <br /> W$EREP.S, it is proposed to improvey~ Larpenteur Avenue <br /> between Snelling Avenue and Arona Avenue by putting eurtring <br /> in on both sides cf the street as recommended b~xethe engineer <br /> for the village, and t o assess the abutting property for the <br /> cost of the improvement, pursuant to Secs. 412.401 to 412.481 <br /> of the ~Hinnesota Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CUUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS, B+SIINNESOTA, that a public hearing be <br />held by the Council on this proposed improvement, in the Council <br />chambers in the Village Hall, at 1644 West Larpenteur Avenue, in <br />said village, on Tuesday, the 13th day of May, 1952, at 8:00 <br />o'clock P.M., and that the Clerk prepare and publish two-weeks' <br />notice of such hearing as requi red by law. <br />Amendment The proposed amendment to the Fire department ordinance (Ordinance <br />Fire Dept. No. 1) relating to reporting fir es in public buildings, was dis- <br />ordinanee cussed. Attorney Graham was asked to prepare an amendment in <br />suitable £o rm for consider at ion by the council. <br />Alleys (7) Mr. Seaborn reported to the council that property owners had <br />requests requested that seven different alleys in the village be improved <br />to improve by grading and surfacing, and the costs assessed against the <br />abutting property as provided by statute. <br />The requests were discussed by the council, and on motion of <br />Lindig, seconded by Shavor, and unanimously carried, the following <br />resolution was adopted: <br />Resolution - WHEREAS, it is proposed to improvedthe alley between <br />Idaho and California avenues, running from the west line <br />Idaho-Calif, of Albert avenue to the east line of Pascal avenue, by <br />alley. grading and surfacing, as recommended by the engineer for <br />the village, and to assess the abutting property for the <br />cost of the improvement, pursuant to Secs. 412.401 to 412.481 <br />of the Minnesota Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TiiE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA; that a public hearing <br />be held by the council on this proposed improvement in the <br />council chambers in the Village Hall at 1644 West Larpenteur <br />Avenue, in said village, on Tuesday, the 13th day of May, 1952, <br />at 8:30 o'clock P.B6., and that the Clerk-prepare and publish <br />two-weeks' notice of such hearing as required by law <br />On the motion of Lindig, seconded by Shavor, and unanimously <br />carried, the following resolution was adopted: <br />
