28B <br />Resolution: RESOLVED, (1) The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorised and directed <br />(curbing to enter into a contract with Pederson Brothers, 534 Glendale Avenue, <br />Larpenteur) St Paul, Minnesota, in the name of the Village of Falcon Heists, <br />for the improvemezrt of Larpenteur Avenue, between Snelling and Arona, <br />by installation of curbing according to plans and specifications <br />heretofore approved by the Village council and on Pile in the office <br />of the Village Clerk. <br />(2) The Village clerk is hereby ,authorized and directed to return <br />the certified checks of the unsuccessful bidders. <br />Peat .for After discussion, Henry moved that Trustee Rekstad contact the <br />Park County Engineer to see if peat in sufficient quantity for top <br />dressing the park can be had at a price not to exceed X75.00. <br />Seconded by Shavor and carried unanimously. <br />Natural Trustee Shavor said the Northern States Power Company advised <br />gas that Falcon Heists is one of the villages in an area scheduled <br />to have natural gas servic e. Because of insufficient gas ice <br />zaas~#Qa~Ritam~cat~edc~k*= at present, the Northern States Power Company <br />has applied for additional gas, he said. Assurance was given,he <br />said, that this service will be extended to Falcon Heights if and <br />.when the additi onal gas is obtained. <br />Smoke As to subscribing to the Smoke Eater, firemen's monthly magazine <br />Eater published at ~iTorthington, Minnesota; Shavor moved, seconded by <br />Lindig, that subscription for .each of the paid and volunteer <br />firemen be authorised on condition that the name of Andrew <br />Hustrulid be substituted on the list for Kenneth Barthel and <br />that H. L. Henry's name and address be substituted for Robert <br />D. Locke. Motion carried. <br />Weed notice Lindig moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign agreement addressed <br />to Carl F. Bucher, Ramsey County deed and Seed Inspector, that <br />Falcon Heights will pay their share of publishing weed notice for <br />1952 in an amount not to exceed X5.00. Seconded by Shavor and <br />carried unanimously. <br />Lindig to Henry then moved that Trustee Lindig be authorized to order weeds <br />order weeds cut as soon as possible.
