M. by the Mayor. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of Thursday, Deceomber 11, 1952 <br />were read and approved. <br />General . The council heard Mr. Ernest Peikert, 2020 Washington Ave, 3. <br />Outdoor Minneapolis of the General Outdoor Advertising Co:oapany <br />Adv. Co. regarding their large "bill board" type advertising signs <br /> on the southwest corner of Larpenteur and Pascal. He stated <br /> that the signs were installed in 1944, have recently been <br /> improved through the addition of stainless steel trim, and <br /> the lease with their present client runs to July I0, 1953. <br /> The lease contract has a 30 day cancellation clause by either <br /> party. Mr. Peikert requested permission to leave the signs <br /> up, at least until July 10, 1953, if possible. The council <br /> took the matter under advisement and informed Mr. Peikert <br /> that the clerk would notify his firm after the council <br /> discusses the matter. <br />
