The Clerk shall transmit a certified duplicate of this <br />assessment to the oounty auditor on or after April 1, 1953, <br />to be extended on tho proper tax lists of the county, and <br />such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same <br />manner as other municipal taxes. <br />Hearing olosed The lYayor then declared the hearing olosed at 9:15 P.H. <br />Meeting resumed In conneotion wi th Legislative Information Service letter, <br />9:20.P.M. dated January 23, 1953, from the League of Minnesota <br />Municipalities, relating to municipal liquor store bills, <br />mostly anti, Stewart moved that said letter be referred to <br />Anti-Municipal our legislative committee wi th the Counoil's reoommendation <br />Store Bills that Representati ve Claude Allen end Senator Elmer Ande rson <br />be requested to oppose the anti municipal liquor store bills. <br />Seconded by Lindig and motion carried by a unanimous vote. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting was then adjourned at 10:05 P.M. <br />C1 <br />App roved: <br />Mayor <br />REGULAR HEFTING, TIIESDAY, FEB. 10, 1953 <br />Present: Absent, Frank N. J. Slema, 1849 Western Avenue North, <br />Firemen St Paul, and S.P. Schultz, 372 Rice Street, St Paul, to the Council, <br />appointed. stating he had appointed them as paid firemen to fill vaoancies <br />created by resi gnations of Fireman genneth J. Barthel and Robert D. <br />Locke. Conditions were discussed relating to salaries, termination <br />of employment upon two weeks notice, the probationary period for <br />
