Seconded by Henry and carried unanimously. <br />Fire Equipment Fire Chief Swanson appeared at the meeting to answer questions <br />pertaining to the hose clamp, Jumbo mystery nozzle and fire <br />hose, purchase of which had been recommended by the Fire <br />Department committee. <br />To advertise After discussion, Lodahl moved that the Village advertise <br />For Fire hose for bids Por 500 feet of 22" fire hose according to specifi- <br />cations. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried unanimously. <br />Jumbo mystery Lindig then moved that the Village purchase one 22" Jumbo <br />nozzle mystery notale with handle. Seconded by Lodahl and motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Hose Clamp Stewart moved purchase of one hose clamp. Seconded by Shavor <br />and oarri ed unanimously. <br />Village The D~ayor read an agreement dated May 4, 1953 and signed by <br />dry wells George DaBruszi, stating he would do certain wo rk and black <br />topping aroundti''~wo Village dry wells at Idaho and Snelling, <br />labor and materials not to cost the Village in exoess of <br />X100.00. Stewart moved that the work be done by Mr. DaBruzzi <br />as stated. Seconded by Lindig and so ordered. <br />Streets Street Commissioner Seaborn reported on work being done in <br />the way of repairing the streets. He also reported raising <br />of load limits on Village streets to 4 tone per axle load. <br />Load limits After discussion, Lindig moved that the load restrictions <br />imposed by resolution adopted Marsh 10, 1953, be removed <br />effective May 20, 1953, and that signs be removed at that <br />time. Henry seoonded and motion carried unanimously. <br />Civilian Defense Letter was read from Mary L. Kruglak, Falcon Heights divi3ian <br />budget defense director, requesting X240 for budget year to provide <br />local civilian defense emergency supplies. Attorney was asked <br />to check the statute to see if the Village may properly incur <br />such expense. <br />Fire Dept. Lindig moved approval of Requisition No. b, covering supplies <br />requisition needed by the Fire Department, excluding the lawn mower item. <br />Shavor seoonded and motion carried. <br />Clerk's requisition On motion by Lindig, seoonded by Henry, requisition No. 4 <br />covering supplies needed for Clark's office, was ordered <br />approved. <br />Budget change The clerk reported on difference of $4,000.00 between the <br />tax levy approved October 9, 1952 and certified to the <br />County Auditor and the Treasurer's 1953 budget estimate. <br />On motion by Henry, seoonded by Lindig, it was voted to <br />ask the Treasurer to change the budget and to place the <br />X4,000 in the general fund. <br />
