Street Bill covering work on streets by the County during period <br />bill March 26 to April 25, 1955, amounting to X266.76 and payable <br />from 1953 allotment, was noted by the council. <br />Bonds Letter of April 28 Prom Piper, JaPfray and $opwood offering <br />to sell to the Village at par and accrued interest to date <br />X5,000 Fal oon Heights 1.60E bonds due September 1, 1953, <br />which they had taken in, affording a saving in interest <br />charges to the Village. The clerk was asked to discuss <br />the question with the Public Examiner's office. <br />Vital Statistics Letter from Deputy State Registrar enolosing copy of <br />a bill passed by the 1953 state legislature and signed <br />by the Governor, providing that townships and villages <br />will .not be continued as registration districts for <br />vital statistics after July 1, 1953. <br />Fire Dept. Letter of April 27 from Fire Chief Swanson requesting <br />Convention - authority Por attendance of State Fire Department <br />Carnival Convention to be held at Sauk Centre, June 8-9 and 10, <br /> 1953. Also re carnival to be held June 12-13 and 14, <br /> 1953 at Larpenteur and Snelling and beer and bingo <br /> permits desired by fire department for those dates. <br /> The clerk was asked to secure a schedule of such <br /> conventions and meetings for the balance of the year <br /> with amounts voted to date for this purpose for the <br /> council's consideration.
