<br />Pfeet ing called to order at 7:45 P.M., and minutes of regular meeting,
<br />iday 12, 1953 and of special meeting, May 15, 1953, were heard and approved as read.
<br />Wm. P. dock appeared before the Cou noil to request more time for complet-
<br />1397 Larpenteur ing a petition to rezone the Keller property on the northwest
<br />Avenue West corner of Albert and Larpenteur . George Keller was present
<br /> and agreement was reached that the petitioners would submit
<br /> th sir rezoning petition about June 2 or 3rd for sufficiency
<br /> cheok by the Village Attorney. The Council then agreed to
<br /> set a hearing on said petition for Tuesday, June 16, 1953,
<br /> beginning at 8:00 P.~fl., at the Village Hall, provided the
<br /> petition is found to be sufficient.
<br />Bills: On motion by Lindig, seconded by Shavor, the following bills
<br /> were ordered paid:

<br />R. N. Weatherston, Stated he had learned that natural gas would be extended to
<br />1867 N. Simpson Falcon heights in the near future, and urged adoption of a
<br /> strict ordinance providing for installation fees and for
<br /> posting of bonds to insure proper and safe installations.
<br /> Mr. Weatherston also called attention to what he considers
<br /> unsatisfactory drainage conditions fn his neighborhood, and
<br /> was informed by the Mayor that repairs to portions of the
<br /> streets and driveways have been ordered.
<br />Dairy far, John Bouthilet, Attorney, appeared in connection with request
<br />Douglas Rees of LRr. Douglas Rena far variance in setback requirements in
<br />property co nnection with secu ring a permit to build a dairy bar at
<br /> 1702 Snelling. Letter of raay to^, 1953, from the Village
<br /> Planning Commission, recommendi ng that the building proposed
<br /> by %r. Rees be erected in line with the houses Pacing Snelling
<br /> Drive no rth of Crawford Avenue or that said building conform
<br /> with the Yillag a ordinance, was read. The matter of issuing
<br /> a license under the drive-in provisions of Ordinance No. 12
<br /> for operating a Dairy Bar at 1702 Snelling was then discussed.
<br /> Mr. Bouthilet agreed there would be no purpose in granting
<br /> the building permit if licensing of the dairy bar might not
<br /> be approved. It was then agreed to have the proposed dairy
