<br />Meeting called to order at 8:15 P. M., and minutes of regular
<br />meeting August 25, 1953, were heard and approved as read.
<br />Proposed ?Rr. D. H. Ellison, Superintendent of Construction, Standard Oil
<br />Standard Company, Minneapolis, presented. specifications, drawings and
<br />filling plot plan of a proposed filling station to be erected on the
<br />station northwest corner of Larpenteur and Snelling avenues, the Cross
<br />NW corner Roads Addition. After discussion, Stewart moved that said
<br />Larpenteur specifications, drawings and plot plan be referred to the Planning
<br />~ Snelling Commission for study and recommendation. Henry seconded and
<br />motion carried unanimously.
<br />Personal As previously arranged, Village Assessor William Torgef~son
<br />property presented to the council th.e 1953 personal property book for
<br />assessed study and discussion.

<br />seven Village lots in this area was referred to our attorney.

<br />C=as mains The Clerk read copy of a resolution adopted by the Board of County
<br />installation Commissioners, Aug. 2lt, 1953, re installation and maintenance of
<br />requirements gas mains in certain County highway rights-of-way. It was then
<br />by County agreed to refer said resolution to our attorney to see if the Village
<br />may set up similar requirements with respect to installation of gas
<br />mains in our streets.
<br />Vol. Firemen's Letter of Sept. 2, 1953, signed by Victor J. Hermes, Earl W, Grumke,
<br />Assn demands Gordon H. Nelson, and Henry Dachtera, representatives of the Falcon
<br />meeting Heights Firemen's Association, demanding a special meeting be held
<br />Wednesday, Sept. ~, 1953, 8:00 P.M., requesting combined presence
<br />of the Village Council, the fire committee and the folunteer firemen.
