2 <br />Master Gas On motion by Shavor, seconded by Lindig, it was voted unanimously <br />Installer's to approve applications for faster Gas Installer's licenses <br />Licenses from the following firms and of issuance of such licenses to <br />said firms as of dates shown on the licenses: <br />Neil Hubbard Heating 8r Air Conditioning Co, <br />Noble Gas Co. <br />The Snelling Co. <br />Hinding & Co. <br />Building permit <br />question N.C. Larson, 1731 Fry St., and Building Inspector Christensen <br />referred to the council the question of whether Mr. Larsen is <br />required.. to take out a building permit for moving a shed from <br />the front of his property to a location on the back of his <br />lot. Bar. Larson advised this could be done for much less than <br />X150.00. Attorney Caraham advised that under the ordinance no <br />permit is required.. <br />Twin City Letter of November 9, 1953, from the Twin City Rapid Transit <br />Rapid Transit Company, re proposed inter-Campus bus line, was discussed. and <br />Co. bus referred to Trustee Shavor for checking and report. <br />GTA iNater On motion by Lindig, seconded by Shavor, it was voted to renew <br />agreement the water agreement with the Farmers IInion Grain Terminal <br /> Association for period December 27, 1953 to December 27, 1951, <br /> covering water extension from GTA property to the Village Hall. <br />Scherbel firffi Letter was presented from b?rs. J.C. Scherbel, of St Paul, <br />run cA~im declining to oay for afire run performed by the Falcon Heights <br />dropped Fire Department on August 17, 1953, to the Scherbel car at a <br /> point on Snelling Avenue near County Road B., our Fire Department <br /> having responded to a phone call from St Paul police that the <br /> Scherbel car was on fire on Snelling Avenue somewhere south of <br /> County Road B. The Scherbel letter stated that the Scherbels <br /> did not request tLL'~e service. On advice of our attorney, it <br /> was agreed to drop the matter. <br />Audit attorney Graham's letter of November 2l~, 1953, was read, <br />proposed expressing the opinion that the status only requires the council <br /> to make a "thorough examination of the accounts" of the retiring <br /> treasurer, not necessarily requiring an audit of those accounts. <br /> The Clerk and Treasurer then reported on their separate contacts <br /> with the Public Examiner's office relative to the proposed audit <br /> of Village accounts, presenting such information as they had <br /> .developed as to coverage and cost of a complete audit as compared <br /> with an audit of limited scope. Also letter of December 2, 1953, <br /> from the Public Examiner as to an audit of limited scope, was <br /> read. It was also stated that the co~cil may request at a <br /> nominal cost the services of a representative of the Public <br /> Examiners office to verify funds on hand with the retiring <br /> Treasurer and acceptance of same by the incoming Treasurer. <br /> It was then agreed to ask the incoming Treasurer to attend the <br />next meeting so that he might participate in final discussion <br /> of the matter. <br />
