Treasurer l~lilliam F. Olsen, incoming treasurer who will take office Jan. 2, 195L~, appeared before the council to participate in a discussion of matters pertaining to his taking over the duties of treasurer, Treasurer Van Hovers summarized what had transpired at the December 9, 1953 meeting with respect to coverage and costs of a complete audit of Village accounts, also audit of limited scope. The proposal to have a representative from the Public Examiner's office verify funds on hand with the retiring Treasurer and acceptance of same by the incoming Treasurer was also discussed. r,~r. Olsen then stated he would accept custody of the funds and accounts of the Village as turned over to him by~Treasurer Van Hovers without the services of the Public E:xaminer's office.
