Cassin to pur- to purchase 10 ft. of Lot 1, Rlock 10, Northome 2nd <br />chase 10 ft. of Addition, which is Village property, the report of the <br />Lot 1, Falk 10, Planning Commission, dated :arch 3, and letter of February <br />Northome 2nd. Addn. 26 from the Village attorney pertaining t.o this :natter, <br /> were read. After discussion, Hustrulid moved that ~qr. <br /> Cassin's request be denied because the council feels that <br /> said land is needed for public purposes, also that no <br /> building permit for a house on Lot 2 can be issued without <br /> council approval and that no filling can be done on said <br /> lot without a hermit from the council. Shavor seconded <br /> and motion carried unanimously. <br />Nor. States Power The Clerk reported that Mr, Tretter of the Northern States <br />proposal re street Potiver Company planned to attend our Larch 21t meeting to <br />lights explain a proposal whereby the Northern States Power Company <br />offers to take over Villa~g street lighting on a 5-year <br />contract providing for ~~re~luction in costs of about 96126.00 <br />on the basis of 21 street lights, <br />Pedestrian cross-walk, Mayor Stenzinger reported that in meeting with ~'r. Juetten, <br />no parking Secretary, Minnesota Safety Council, that the latter <br />suggested placing of no parking signs near our pedestrian <br />crosswalk_ After discussion, Stenz~.nger moved that the <br />matter of prohibi±ing curb parking of automobiles within <br />no parking limits of the pedestrian crosswalk be referred <br />to Mr. Chenoweth, County Traffic Engineer, and if agreeable <br />to the county, that such signs be installed. Seconded by <br />Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. <br />League of ~~omen On motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Stenzinger, it was <br />Voters voted unanimously to commend the Falcon Heights Provisional <br />League of l~omen Voters on the League's very good work in <br />preparing and making available the booklet, "Crossroa.ds to <br />Convenience." <br />Adjournment,: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 10:45 P.
