Larpenteur, asked to be heard regarding <br />station matters pertaining to operation of the Shell ser vice station <br />at Albert and Larpenteur, He asked that the bright lights <br />which illuminate the station be hooded. Referring to increased <br />traffic because of the service station, ~".r. Rysgaard, <br />the council acted on the following: <br />On motion by Hust,rulid, seconded by Shavor, it, was voted un- <br />animously to approve purchasing procedure recommended by the <br />Fire Department committee as follows: <br />1. As to purchases of supplies or equipment from established <br />sources of supply, which have al ready been agreed uponby <br />the council, such as light bulbs; that the fire chief or <br />village cl erk may purchase the necessary items without <br />securing competitive bids. <br />2. Emergenc3- Fire Department purchases should be purchased by <br />the Fire Chief who shall secure prices from. at least three <br />sources of supply, unless the emergency is of such nature <br />that the equipment must be secured immediately. Unless <br />unreasonable due to the urgency of the purchase, the Fire <br />Chief should report the various prices available to the <br />Village Clerk and ask for his opinion on which item to <br />purchase. <br />
