'~ <br />Lauderdale As to a proposed meeting with the Lauderdale Village council <br />Standby for adjustment of the standby fire protection charge, the <br />contract clerk reported that upon request of the Mayor the letter <br />referred to in the minutes of March 2lt, 19511 was not mailed, <br />with the understanding that arrangements were to be made that <br />the council or representatives of the council would meet with <br />the Lauderdale council and discuss the matter of adjusting <br />the standby contract. Upon motion by Hustrulid, seconded <br />by Stewart, this action was unanimously approved and Mayor <br />Stenzinger and Trustee Shavor were designated as representatives <br />of the council to meet with the Lauderdale council regarding <br />the proposed standby contract adjustment. <br />Outside phone Stewart reported that in case approval is not secured by <br />booth the Telephone company for an outside phone booth on the <br />northeast corner of Larpenteur and. Snelling, that assurance <br />has been given by the owner of property at the southeast <br />corner of this intersection that the booth may be placed <br />there. <br />adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11 P. Roll call recording the following council <br />members present: Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee, David <br />P. Cartwright, Trustee; and Clyde J. Stewart. Absent: Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee, <br />William E. Olsen, Treasurer. Present: Frank N. Graham, Attorney. Also about <br />!t0 persons, including citizens, representatives of the oil industry and Twin City <br />filling station operators were in attendance. <br />The Mayor opened the discussion by stating the meeting had been <br />called for the purpose of hearing representatives of the oil <br />industry, Twin City Filling Station representatives, and~~~terested <br />citizens on the proposed ordinance for licensing gasolin ~`~4ations. <br />The proposed ordinance was then read. After discussion, it was <br />agreed to re-read the proposed ordinance section by section, with <br />the Mayor asking for comments or questions. <br />
