On motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Cartwright, same <br />was ordered approved. <br />State Fire Fire Chief Swanson's letter of May 19 was read, requesting that <br />Dept. Assn. the council authorize the Fire Chief and. one elected volunteer <br />convention, fireman to attend said convention with expenses paid, also per <br />Hibbing - diem for the volunteer member. After discussion with respect <br />June llt-15-16 to how allowances and attendance at this convention fits in with <br /> the proposed educational program for the Fire Department, Shavor <br /> moved that the Fire Chief and one. volunteer be authorized to <br /> attend the A1linnesota State Fire Department Association convention <br /> to be held at Hibbing, Minnesota, June 1~, 15 and 16, 195l~, and <br /> that they each be allowed X10.00 per day to cover expenses and <br /> transportation and that an additional allowance will Eae granted <br /> to cover registration fee, also that the volunteer will be <br /> granted an allowance to offset loss of salary, if any, during <br /> his attendance at said convention, not to exceed X15.00 per day. <br /> Seconded by Stewart and motion carried unanimously. <br />lie ed <br />Inspector Copy of Attorney Graham's .letter of May 20 was read, regarding <br /> statutes on weed inspectors, Sec. 20.11 providing that the <br />trill pay Mayor is the local weed inspector but may appoint an assistant <br />share of weed inspector. Consideration was also given to the proposal <br />weed. notice that the Village pay its proportinate share of weed notice <br />cost publication cost within the County for 195Lt. Harrison, 32 Mid Oaks Lane, St Paul, regarding her brother <br />Machine who is in the wholesale egg business in southern Minnesota, <br />wanting to establish a retail outlet by installing an egg <br />vending machine at the Falcon Oil Co., 1350 Larpenteur Avenue <br />bYest.
