`~~~ <br />Alleys Street Commissioner reported he had secured a price of <br />X60.00 per alley, including oiling, seeding and labor <br />on improved alleys. In connection with alleys it was <br />proposed be accepted by the Village for maintenance, <br />Seaborn was asked to bring in details on same with minimum <br />specifications to be accepted and estimated annual maintenance <br />costs, not including snow removal. <br />Adding machine - In connection with adding machine needed in the Treasurer's <br />Treasurer office, several bids secured by the Clerk and Treasurer on <br />adding machines of different companies were reported on. <br />Following a discussion, Cartwright moved that the Treasurer <br />be authorized to purchase a Contex portable adding machine <br />at the quoted price of X49.50. Stenzinger seconded and <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Maple Knoll As to possible drainage problems in the Maple Knoll area, <br />drainage Street Commissioner Seaborn stated he and "r~gineer Carley <br />planned to check into this matter and report back to the <br />council. <br />Re-deposit checks As to Village checks No$. 70, of July 28, 1949; 1Vo. 509, <br />returned by June 30, 1950; No. 1004, June 26, 1951; No. 1468, June 24, <br />University 1952; and No. 2092, June 10, 1953, offered as rental for <br />Village Hall property but returned by the University of <br />Minnesota, Treasurer Olsen reported he had been informed <br />by the Public Examiner's office that these checks should <br />be redeposited in the Village's account- After discussion, <br />Stenzinger moved that the treasurer be authorized to handle <br />said checks returned by the University as advised to do so <br />by the Public Examiner's office. Cartwright seconded and <br />so ordered. <br />Insurance policies The analysis of Village insurance policies as prepared by <br />analyzed Mr. W. A- Mortenson was read and discussed. Cartwright then <br />moved that the Villa ge Clerk be instructed to write Mr, <br />Mortenson, thanking him for reviewing our insurance policies <br />and inviting him to bid on same on renewal dates, Stenzin~?er <br />seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.M. <br />~~~~. <br />Approve <br />1 <br />~; <br />
