After discussion of the fire hose bids which <br />the committee felt conformed with specifications, Hustrulid <br />Fire Hose moved that the Village accept bid of the Minnesota Fire <br />Equipment Company, of Minneapolis; namely, ~~1.51 per foot, <br />F.O.B. Falcon Heights; 2~ 10th prox,, 60 days net, on <br />500 ft. of 22" ~`~wlill`~ 2~8 double jacket white untreated <br />fire hose with 2-lug couplings, and that certified checks <br />covering deposits of the unsuccessful bidders be returned. <br />Stenzinger seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />Landscape Shavor reported on negotiations for landscaping service <br />Village Hall needed for the Village Hall grounds, stating that Engineer <br />grounds Carley had established grades and drawn up specifications. <br />Later the engineer made some changes in the specifications <br />and a bid for landscaping the grounds for under X500.00 <br />was secured. Shavor said the change in the specifications <br />requires seeding of the area instead. of sodding. <br />Medical Emergency Stewart reported on his discussionswith Health Officer, <br />Plan Dr. Krezowski and other local doctors as to a proposed <br />medical emergency plan for the Village. Under the proposed <br />plan a number of Falcon Heights doctors and some in nearby <br />areas would answer emergency calls at the request of the <br />patient's relatives, with the understanding that the patient <br />would receive a statement for such services, but that the <br />Village would assume no obligation for such payment, also <br />that the doctor answering the call would release the patient <br />to a physician of the patient's choice at any time desired. <br />Ste~rart stated that several residents also expressed the <br />desire for such emergency service, especially in coronaryT <br />and similar emergencies. He said that addresses of doctors <br />participating in the proposed plan, their phone numbers <br />and when available for call, could be furnished to our Fire <br />and Police departments so as to be available on call 2!t hou rs <br />daily, After discussion, Stewart moved adoption of the <br />proposed medical emergency plan as submitted, Hustrulid <br />seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1 <br />Cities Service ~ Cartwright moved that plot plans furnished by the Cities <br />Oil Company Service Oil Company in connection with the proposed filling <br />station on the southeast corner of Larpenteur and Snelling <br />be referred to Per. J.E.P. Darrel, of the State Highway Department, <br />and to the County Engineer to determine if the entrances in <br />particular. conform with traffic safety regulations and <br />recommendations of the state and county.
