491 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />Plat - The plat of Klatt's Addition, received from the Ramsey Cow~ty <br />Klatt's Plat Commission, was referred to Attorney Graham with <br />Addition instructions to check our planning procedure and to send said <br />plat to our Planning Commission for their consideration. <br />Police Don Arndt submitted daily .reports for our three Village police <br />officers, showing number of arrests, patrolling, etc., and <br />answered questions in this connection. <br />Building Building .Inspector Christensen reported on a request he had <br />Inspector from a building contractor to fill in Lot 2, Block 10, <br />Northome Second Addition, to the property line with the fill <br />for the slope encroaching or_ Lot 1 oomed by the Village. <br />Stewart moved that the building inspector, the Mayor and <br />Trustee Shavor arrange to look over the property and determine <br />the lot line and the amount of dirt that would encroach on <br />Village property and to report back to the council. Cartwright <br />seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />Bldg. Inspector Building Inspector Christensen stated that in checking the <br />reports ceiling height newly completed home at 1l~83 California Avenue `Vest that <br />at 7l~83 Calif. the ceiling measured 7 ft. instead of 7a ft. as required <br />violates bldg. code by our building code. The attorney was asked to write <br />the contractor, O.J. Husby & Sons, for an explanation. <br />Robert J. Steiner Letter of July 9, 1954 from Robert J. Steiner, 1731 Simpson, <br />garage to Building; Inspector Christensen, together with Steiner's <br />proposed building plans with location for garage not behind <br />the dwelling, was referred to Attorney Graham for answering. <br />Vacations - firemen .The Fire Chief submitted the 195Lt vacation schedule for <br />himself and the other two paid firemen, with proposal that <br />since no relief fireman was available for service during <br />such vacations, that the firemen regularly employed be <br />authorized to work extra during vacation periods. Hustrulid <br />moved approval of the vacation schedule as proposed, seconded <br />by Stenzinger and so ordered. <br />1~,"aple Knoll Attorney Graham reported on his phone conversation with <br />roads Engineer Carley regarding street levels in the Maple Knoll <br />addition. After discussion, Shavor moved that ?ti2r. Carley <br />be retained to inspect cors~ruction of the roads in Maple <br />Knoll addition. Stenzinger seconded and motion carried <br />unan imously. <br />Regulations for Shavor then moved that our attorney be requested to secure <br />construction of the necessary information from Engineer Carley for preparing <br />roads. regulations governing the construction of roads in the Village <br />and to report back at the-next meeting. S~esart seconded <br />and motion carried unanimously. <br />Fire Hose Cartwright reported that the fire department committee held <br />a meeting two weeks ago with the Fire Chief present. Clarence <br />Rekstad, member of the committee, had been notified that the <br />committee would meet, but could not be reached the evening the <br />meeting was held, Cartwright said. Cartwright reported the <br />committee came to no conclusion regarding the various fire <br />hose bids.
