Police officer Dachtera told the boys about <br /> aesidents being disturbed by fast stopping and starting <br /> of motor bikes. Iri this connection, Mayor Stenzinger <br /> informed the boys about provisions- of the Village ordinance <br /> defining nuisances. The St Paul Dispatcher reporter then <br /> took a photograph of the group, including the boys, the <br /> sheriff and his deputies, and the Mayor. <br />Cities Service Mr. Grant Mays, representing Cities Service Oil Company, <br />Oil Company reported that his Company had prepared nex plans for the <br />service station proposed gasoline serviceStation on the southeast corner <br />permit of Larpenteur and Snelling, to conform with the side yard <br /> provision of our zoning ordinance. Mr. Mays then presented <br /> the new plans and introduced Mr. Joseph Cohn, joint owner <br /> of the corner property, consisting of 200 ft. on Larpenteur <br />Mr. Cohn and X09.5 ft. on Snelling avenue. Mr. Hyman Edelman, attorney <br /> for Mr. Cohn, xas also introduced. Mr. Cohn said he had tried <br /> to xork out negotiations xith Associated Investors for handling <br /> the flox of traffic and joint parking, but that he had an <br /> alternates plan in case these negotiations fail, the latter <br /> providing for reducing the size of the proposed building at <br /> the rear so as to allow for deliveries. In connection xith <br /> the proposed devel opment of the property, Mr. Cohn said <br /> he xould permit installation of an outside phone booth on <br /> the property if the location for the bo~Dh nos being considered <br />Mr. Nelson is not secured. Mr. V.O. Nelson, Division Manager, Cities <br /> Service Oil Company, spoke generally on the proposed service <br /> station location and the investment required, and assured <br /> the council the proposed service station xould be one of the <br />.Application finest his Company has in the Zarin Cities area. The Clerk <br />read then read the application of Cities Service Oil Company for <br /> said building permit, corrections xere made in the application <br /> where necessary, and Mr. Seiffert of Cities Service approved <br />Permit the corrected application by initialing same. Cartx~a~~t <br />approved then moved approval of the Cities Service Oil Company~s <br /> application for said building permit, xith the understanding <br /> that t~e ~e ainder of the area, 200x330 ft., xhen developed <br />~ <br /> . <br />xill b~'!~~n <br />~cordance xith the plan dated August 5, 195lt, <br /> submitted by Mr. Joseph Cohn, joint owner of said property. <br /> Hustrulid seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />Barthel Villa Ray Kroiss, 2210 Ferrnrood, St Paul, building contractor, <br /> appeared before the council as to building on property he <br /> had acquired at Holton and Garden. Mr. Kroiss xas informed <br /> that under conditions in this area a building permit could <br /> not be issued since such construction xould interfere xith <br /> natural drainage. It xas agreed that Mr. Kroiss should <br /> have his attorney contact Village Attorney Graham. <br /> <br />
