49 <br />Shell Station Mr. Taylor, operator of the Shell Service station at Albert <br />parking of and Larpenteur, appeared before the council to ansxer a <br />trucks letter received from the clerk, regarding parking of trucks <br />at his station. Mr. Taylor pointed out that he xould lose <br />considerable business if the trucks xere not parked at his <br />station, and. that they are now parked behind the building <br />to improve appearances. In addition, he said that a nursery <br />had made arrangements for planting trees behind the station <br />in the near future. <br />Klatt~s Mr. Blatt inquired as to the status of the tentative plat <br />Addition submitted by his engineer, Mr. Carley, snd xas inf ormed <br />that the council had approved said plat subject to similar <br />action by our Planning Commission. I~r. Klatt xas assured <br />that as soon as xe hear from the Planning Commission he rill <br />be informed. <br />Crossroads Joseph E. Kraemer and Norbert L. Hermes presented papers <br />Addi tion offering to convey to the Village of Falcon Heights certain <br />road highxay easements,. in the Crossroads, as described in their <br />easements application for dedication of street dated August 7, 1954. <br />'After discussion, it xas agreed to refer the matter to our <br />attorney xith the question as to xhether-the Village has <br />the easement for an additional 3j feet ad3acent to and zest <br />of the 12-foot strip. It xas also agreed that Trustee <br />Shavor xould refer the matter to our planning commission. <br />Bushes in .Building Inspector Christensen reported that in a number <br />alleys of instances bushes along alleys obstruct the view and <br />constitute a traffic hazard. The clerk xas asked to <br />include xith his news items a quotation from the governing <br />ordinance. <br />Cabinet for The building inspector presented literature on filing <br />filing plans cabinets for commercial plans kept by the Village. After <br />discussion, it iras decided to take the matter under <br />advisement. <br />Fire siren In connection xith bids received for installation of siren <br />controls controls, Hustrulid reported there xas question as to the <br />number of cycles the installation xould provide. Tieso's <br />being the lowest bid, Hustrulid agreed to contact this <br />bidder for details on Sus t how the proposed installation <br />rill operate. <br />Police Daily reports covering policing and mileage xere noted by <br />the council for Village police officers as folloxs: <br />Earl Smith to August 9, 195lt <br />James Waller to August !t, 195 <br />Henry Dachtera to August 6, 1954 <br />Robert J. Steiner Report of July jl relating to a public hearing held by <br />variance petition the Village Planning Commission on July 29, 1954, for <br />consideration of a petition submitted by Robert J.
