One petition related to the planting and spacing <br /> of boulevard trees on Holton avenue from~Garden to Roselawn, <br /> the other petition relating to quantity purchase of American <br /> elms by residents of this area, depending on the council's <br /> approval of tree spacing desired. Cartwright moved that <br /> the two petitions be approved and that spacing of 60 ft. <br /> for boulevard trees as requested be authorized. Seconded <br /> by Hustrulid and motion carried unanimously. Attorney will <br /> check as to preparing boulevard. tree ordinance. <br />Cess pool Seaborn also reported receiving complaints regarding <br />pumping onto pumping of Cess pools onto lawns in the area north of <br />lawns Larpenteur. Attorney Graham stated that this violates <br /> our ordinance and that the police should be notified in <br /> such cases. <br />League of V~omen <br />Voters meeting Alice Robertson and Vera Thorne, officers, Falcon Heights <br />League of 1~`omen Voters <br />wer <br />int <br />od <br />d <br />d <br />d <br /> , <br />e <br />r <br />uce <br />an <br />exten <br />ed an <br /> invitation to council members to attend a meeting sponsored <br /> by the League of Women Voters of Falcon Heights, Arden Hills <br /> and Roseville,at Lexington School, September lU, at 8 o'clock <br /> P.M. to hear County Commissioner candidates on important <br /> campaign issues. <br />Rezoning along Planning Commission members, Lorris Williams, Chafxman, and <br />Larpenteur west C. K. Otis, Secretary, appeared before the council. Mr, Williams <br />of Village Hall stated that some consideration by the Commission had been given <br /> to the possibility of rezoning of the area slang Larpenteur west <br /> of the Village Hall. He said it seems desirable to rezone more <br /> of this property as business, but that whatever is done will be <br /> what the property owners agree on and will want to have done. <br /> He suggested th at the owners be invited to attend an informal <br /> meeting of the council with Commission members present f'or the <br /> purpose of discussing the matter with them. After considerable <br /> discussion., it was agreed as a firststep that Mr. Williams <br /> should confer with David Loeks, Planning consultant, giving <br /> him a general idea of what is desired and to ascertain the <br /> cost of his services, if available, for studding the area and <br /> making ~ recommendation. Attorney Graham will check into legal <br /> aspects of ~e matter relating to two-way zoning. <br />Lighting - <br /> <br />Larp-Snelling Hustrulid said he had checked with Mr. Bisho _ <br />p, of Falcon Heights <br />Businessmen's Association <br />as t <br />h <br />th <br />i <br /> , <br />o <br />ow <br />ey were com <br />ng along <br />Business area with the proposed lighting of the Larpenteur-Snelling business <br /> area.
