<br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M., with roll. call recording all
<br />council members present as follows: Robert E. Stenzinger, ~.~ayor; George J. Shavor,
<br />Trustee; Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, -,
<br />Clerk. Also present - William E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Ctraham, Attorney.
<br />^1~inutes of regular meeting, November 10, 1954, and ~ub3ie-shearing, November 17, 19511,
<br />were heard and approved as read.
<br />Xmas tree Apblication from N.L. Hermes, together with license fee check
<br />lot license, of $10.00, to operate a Christmas tree lot at 1709 N. Snelling
<br />N.L. Hermes for period November 15 thru December 31, 1954, was considered.
<br /> On motion by Hustrulid, seconded by Cartwright, issuance of said
<br /> license was. approved.
<br />Requests water Copy of Mayor Stenzinger~s letter of November 24 was read, asking
<br />main extension the City of St Paul to extend water main to our Village Hall and
<br />to VH R"FS Fire Station on the basis of one of three plans as follows:
<br /> (1) To run a 6" main from Hollywood Court up to the fire station
<br /> and install #2 and ~~ hydrants as per diagram, branching off the
<br /> South East corner of fire station with service. line into building.
<br /> (2) To run a 6" main from Hollywood Court to #2 hydrant and a
<br /> service line into building.
<br />(3) To run a 6" main up to #1 hydrant and a 2f' service line
<br />from ~l hydrant to building.
<br />',~unicipal short Letter of November 2 re municipal short courses for municipal
<br />courses officers, co-sponsored by the University of MMinnesota, the
<br />League of "Minnesota n~iunicipalities and other state and local
<br />agencies.
<br />Plat - Klatt's The Clerk-reported on receipt of bond in the amount of 954,000
<br />Addition approved by our attorney, guaranteeing the Village that Mr. Klatt
<br />will complete by November 15, 1955, the asphaltic stabilization
<br />of Albert street-from Ruggles to Roselawn avenues and Ruggles e~enub
<br />from Hamline to Holton avenues in accordance with "Specifications
<br />for Street Stabilization - Cutback Asphalt" and to the satisfaction
<br />of the Village Engineer. Qlso that the plats had been executed
<br />on behalf of the Village and delivered to Mr. Klatt~s engineer for
<br />further processing with the county.
<br />t~?unicipal liquor Attorney Grahams letter of November 15, enclosing copy of a
<br />store bm~.~ proposed bill providing for establishment of a~ municipal off-sale
<br />liquor store. -
