Harkness, ~Narren Hanson, Ronald Sullivan, <br />Lester E. Hanson and 6'~illiam R. Keye. Stenzinger seconded, <br />motion carried unanimously, and said nominees declared duly <br />appointed to office. <br />Board of Health It was reported that terms of off ice of two members of the <br />Board of Health; namely, Dr. Thos. Krezowski, Chairman, <br />and Pers. Kathleen ~ieiss, expirer as of January this year, <br />and that term of Robert C. Blomberg, third member of the <br />Board, expires in January 1956. Shavor moved appointmen t <br />of Dr. Thos, Krezowski as Chairman of said Board for a <br />term of two years, and that P,~rs. Kathleen ~deiss be appointed <br />to Board membership fora term of three years. Seconded by <br />Stenzinger, motion carried unanimously, and said nominees <br />declared duly appointed to. off ice. <br />Gas Inspector Stewart moved that Elwood D. Larson be appointed Village <br />Gas Inspector for 1955• Seconded by Stenzinger, motion carried <br />unanimously, and Larson declared duly appointed to office. <br />Village Engineer After discussion, Shavor moved appointment of P~~ilner ud. Carley. <br />as Village Engineer for 1955. Seconded by Cartwright, motion <br />carried uaar~iffiously, and Carley declared duly appointed to <br />office. <br />Financial statement In connection with preparation of the Village financial <br />statement for the year ended December 31, 195, Shavor moved <br />that the Clerk be authorized to arrange for assistance on the <br />same basis as 1 ast year, and for publishing the 195~t <br />• financia7_ statement in the Rose Tribune. Seconded by <br />Hustrulid and motion carried unanimously. <br />Justice of the 3ond for newly elected Justice of the Peace, Lloyd V. Riley, <br />Peace bond was considered. Cartwright moved that the surety bond for <br />the Justice of the Peace be set in the amount of 'k500, and <br />that said bond be secured for a two-year period, beginning <br />in January 1955• Seconded by Hustrulid and motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Clerk's bond -Bond for newly elected Clerk, Clyde J. Stewart, was also <br />considered. Hustrulid moved. that the surety bond for the <br />Clerk be set in the amount of ~;SUU, and that .said bond be <br />secured for a two-year period, commencing in January 1955• <br />Salaries After discussion, Shavor moved that the salaries of elected <br />Village officers for 19.55 be set in amounts the same as last <br />year, with the exception that the Treasurer's salary be <br />increased from ~1~0.00 to $50.00 per month. Seconded by <br />Hustrulid8~ motion carried unanimously. <br />Governor Freeman's The Clerk read Governor Freeman's letter of January 5, 1955, <br />letter re conference about having the Minnesota Safety Council and others sponsor <br />for control of traffic. a conference of public officials with various organizations <br />and individuals interested in the control of traffic, the <br />conference to be held Pyednesday, Jan. 26, at 10 l~.M. , at the <br />Hotel St Paul. Stenzinger moved that the correspondence be <br />submitted to the Pudic Safety committee with the suggestion <br />J <br />
